This is the opening paragraph to a blog found on Obama’s website. These are the wonderful people (using the term loosely) that are supporting the most radical Presidential Candidate in history. If this was Canada or I was anything other then a white male, I could probably sue for all the emotional damage that reading this article has caused. Just kidding.
Capitalism presents an interesting dilemma for the white, upper middle class male, a demographic that, unjustly, has been and continues to enjoy the ripest fruits of capitalism.
What is unjust about upper middle class white men enjoying the ripest fruits of Capitalism? I don’t understand why the lefties have such a loathing for hard working white men. Why shouldn’t we enjoy the fruits that we worked so hard to earn? If they were falling in our laps with no accountability then yes I can understand. But let’s face it, most handouts are not going to white upper middle class men.
On the one hand, a person like me (or anyone else who lives in the economically secure class of citizens of a capitalist nation, especially America)

can sit back and enjoy and take advantage of the limitless opportunities afforded them. Thousands of universities, both domestic and international are within their grasp. After that, countless occupations with career paths that could lead them to even greater heights on the social ladder await.
What is stopping anyone else in America from grasping these abundant opportunities? Nothing. In fact there have been more opportunities created by the government and private agencies aimed directly at everyone that is not white and male.
According to U.S. DOL women’s bureau
Women accounted for 51% of all workers in the high-paying management, professional, and related occupations.
And why is that? Are they working harder? Yes. Are they taking advantage of what has been put before them? Yes. What is so wrong with that? I have also heard that more women received college degrees in 2007, but I can’t find the statistics that support that, so I could be wrong (I heard it while listening to conservative talk radio… oh the shame)
But it is white men that are taking advantage of what EVERYONE else has the opportunity to enjoy. That is why the left objects, white men. But that is what is so great about capitalism, anyone can do it. If you take the chance you take the risk of falling on your face or jumping to great heights. But cursing white men because we take advantage of an opportunity is like cursing someone because they took a drink from the river, and you are thirsty. There is more water flowing. Why not take a drink.
